I’m currently an Anchor/Reporter/Producer at WABI TV5 in Bangor, Maine. You can catch me reporting on weekdays or anchoring the 6pm and 11pm newscast on weekends.
In February of 2012, I was chosen as the winning reporter for KABC’s “On The Red Carpet” College Journalist Contest, beating out over 200 college journalists nationwide. As the winner, I reported live on the red carpet at the 84th Annual Academy Awards for ABC. I had the opportunity to co-report along side Cameron Mathison for a live pre-show and web show. During which time, I interviewed Hollywood’s biggest stars including George Clooney, Jason Segel, Tina Fey and Meryl Streep.
I’m a Hofstra University Alum with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism. During my four years at Hofstra I’ve covered Long Island news for WRHU-FM and Hofstra Today. I’ve won numerous awards at WRHU, including 2011 and 2012 On-Air Talent of the Year and first place for the Associated Press Bill Leaf Memorial Award best regularly scheduled local news program. I was also one of two students selected to represent Hofstra for the Hearst Journalism Awards Program.
I’ve also gained experience at 1010 WINS, News 12 Long Island, the New York Stock Exchange, The New York Mets and WJVC My Country 96.1.
